Oops,

They were down for around 10 minutes and as soon as I post to the forums, they go back up again :D :D

I only noticed as I was doing work on one of them at the time!

cheers

Apache went down I guess, I could access FTP when this happened. Good that it's all OK now.

BTW are you experiencing any spam problem on your sites? View the source of the index files and see if they spam links were appended there or not.

Yep, I've got spam again :(

Is it just index or should I check everything?

My index files are now 0kb???

Is Brett doing a back-up to pre-spam versions?

I have been working for the last 20 hours on fixing my sites... there are so many index files and I am replacing them one by one. :(:(:(

I hope Brett fixes this problem as soon as possible...

Also, a virus check option on cPanel would be good, if the baddies can modify index files, then they can put up backdoor program on our accounts as well.

Both my sites on ns2 have 0kb index files????

Should I reload them? Why are they 0kb?

Also appears that my forums are hosed :(

Anyone with an update? Should I submit a ticket?

I've replaced the files on the accounts that were effected, so I'm OK for now. If the files get edited again or if I run into trouble, I'll sure get in touch.

Off-topic: I'm unable to upload files from the file manager on cPanel, the status shows that it's been uploaded, but actually it doesn't. I first experienced this problem a week ago. There's no problem in editing text-based files, renaming and deleting from the file manager, only uploading doesn't work. All works file from FTP clients though. Please take a look.

Take care and keep up the good work! :)
